Position Summary:We are looking for a Merchant Activation & Coordination Executive to manage the end-to-end merchant onboarding and activation process after the Merchant Application Form (MAF) has been submitted by the Sales/Business Development team.The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for merchants throughout the onboarding journey, ensuring a seamless experience and driving faster activation of payment services through proactive coordination and follow-up.

What will you be working on
  • Merchant Activation Management
    • Take ownership of merchant activation once the MAF is submitted by the Sales team.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for merchants throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
    • Track merchant progress across KYC, Risk, Compliance, and TID stages.
    • Ensure timely account activation and merchant go-live.
  • KYC Coordination
    • Coordinate with the KYC team to understand pending requirements and observations.
    • Proactively reach out to merchants for collection of pending documents or clarifications.
    • Work closely with Business Development teams and merchants to ensure KYC queries are resolved promptly.
    • Drive closure of KYC pendencies to avoid activation delays.
  • Risk Query Resolution
    • Liaise with the Risk team to understand any concerns or additional information required.
    • Communicate Risk observations to merchants clearly and professionally.
    • Coordinate with merchants to obtain required documents, website changes, or clarifications.
    • Ensure timely resolution of Risk-related dependencies.
  • TID & Payment Mode Activation Coordination
    • Monitor activation status of International Cards, Domestic Cards, UPI, and other payment modes.
    • Inform merchants regarding the status of TID creation and payment mode enablement.
    • Proactively communicate expected timelines and provide updates in case of delays.
    • Assist merchants with understanding the activation process and address their queries.
  • Merchant Communication & Stakeholder Management
    • Provide regular status updates to merchants regarding their onboarding progress.
    • Coordinate with internal teams including KYC, Risk, Banking Operations, Product, and Business Development teams.
    • Ensure a smooth and transparent onboarding experience for merchants.
    • Escalate delays and bottlenecks to relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Process Monitoring & Reporting
    • Maintain onboarding tracker and monitor pending cases.
    • Identify recurring bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
    • Ensure adherence to turnaround times (TATs) for merchant activation.
Qualifications
  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • 1-4 years of experience in Merchant Operations, Payment Gateway Operations, Onboarding, Customer Success, or Coordination roles.
  • Good understanding of payment gateway onboarding processes, KYC, Risk, and TID activation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple merchants and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and operational tracking tools.
