Position Summary: As Senior Manager – Hunting, you will be responsible for driving new merchant acquisition for PayGlocal’s cross-border payments stack. This role sits at the forefront of our revenue engine, focused on identifying, pursuing, and closing merchants across priority verticals such as D2C, travel, SaaS, education, and marketplaces.As PayGlocal scales rapidly, this role is critical to expanding our merchant base, increasing category penetration, and positioning PayGlocal as the preferred cross-border payments partner for Indian businesses going global. This role is ideal for high-performing sales professionals with 5–8 years of experience and a strong track record in B2B hunting and enterprise deal closures.

What will you be working on
  • Own the full sales cycle for net-new merchant acquisition, including prospecting, pitching, commercial negotiation, and closure.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, ecosystem partnerships, and industry events.
  • Understand merchant pain points related to international card acceptance, FX, settlements, compliance, and chargebacks, and position PayGlocal’s solutions accordingly.
  • Lead discovery and solutioning discussions with founders, CFOs, finance heads, and payments leaders across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Negotiate MDR, FX markups, settlement terms, and custom commercial constructs within internal pricing guidelines.
  • Work closely with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Onboarding teams to structure commercially attractive and operationally feasible deals.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, manage pipeline forecasts, and report weekly progress against targets.
  • Ensure seamless transition of closed accounts to Account Management teams with complete business context.
  • Represent PayGlocal at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem gatherings to strengthen market presence.
  • Deliver quarterly TPV and revenue targets through effective hunting and deal conversion.
Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of B2B sales or business development experience, with at least 3 years in payments, fintech, SaaS, or banking solutions.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed new business acquisition targets.
  • Strong understanding of India’s payments ecosystem, including PA/PG licensing, card networks, UPI, cross-border flows, and EXIM regulations.
  • Experience selling to founders, CFOs, and senior decision-makers in D2C, travel, SaaS, education, or marketplace businesses.
  • Comfortable with MDR, FX, and settlement economics, and capable of structuring customized deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot and disciplined pipeline management practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Preferred
  • Prior experience with a payments company, payment aggregator, cross-border platform, or neobank serving exporters.
  • Existing relationships with D2C brands, travel/OTA finance teams, or SaaS CFOs in India.
  • Exposure to acquiring, FX, virtual accounts, and multi-currency settlement products.
  • Experience working with channel partners, consultants, or CAs for lead generation.
